The person who coordinates, manages and supervises the analysis, implementation, evolution, implementation, support and operational support of projects concerning complex, multi-site information systems that affect several sectors of the organization.

He/she acts as an expert in his/her field of specialization. He/she coordinates the work of a team of IT analysts and technicians.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS

  • Deploy, support and maintain applications (Admin, Clinical, Social services);
  • Analyze business processes related to the acquisition or replacement of IT systems/applications;
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications;
  • Ensure the integration and implementation of new solutions;
  • Design and implement performance and information integrity testing strategies;
  • Ensure the maintenance and required changes with the perspective of continuous improvement;
  • Conduct proofs of concept for innovative technologies;
  • Produce all training and communications materials required for the technology portion of the project;
  • Produce technical Go-Live plans as well as backup plans when required;
  • Follow up on technical tasks required to complete projects in collaboration with the PMO;
  • Maintain and develop the documentation of the technological architecture;
  • Manage the entire cycle of interface (Ex.: HL7) application development, including analysis, design, specification, implementation, go-live and support;
  • Work closely with application teams, subject matter experts and third-party application experts to determine the business needs for interfaces, document the requirements, and configure the interfaces per the requirements;
  • Configure and maintain the monitoring of the applications in the monitoring tools (Orion SolarWinds);
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes;
  • Supervise and administer Microsoft Office 365;
  • Manage and maintain the Virtual machines inventory of applications;
  • Perform routine security audits, system updates and routine maintenance to preserve the applications security;
  • Organize and follow up on service requests and technical support;
  • Contribute to the development of internal procedures, processes and documentation.

Requested skills

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in computer science.

 

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of relevant professional experience.

 

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to analyse problems and conduct effective fault diagnosis and system recovery;
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience and influence diverse stakeholder groups;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Ability to conduct an effective meeting;
  • Strong motivation and determination to produce results that meet the organization’s needs;
  • Able to establish priorities, managing own workload and work under pressure;
  • Capable of working/using own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of computer network, clinical, medico-administrative, administrative or business documentation projects is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Cree culture, health and social services in Eeyou Istchee is an asset;
  • Knowledge of the health network is considered as an asset.

 LANGUAGE

  • Fluent in English;
  • Fluency in Cree and/or French is an asset.
